Follow the directions below to setup Mac OS X (and greater) for a static IP DSL or T1 connection.
- First click on System Preferences. From the system preferences menu select network.
- Now you will be presented with the network setup window. Click on the location pull down and select "New Location" from the pull down menu. You will then be prompted to name the location. Name it anything you like and then click ok.
- You will now have returned to the TCP/IP tab of the network setup window. Click on the show drop down and select "Built in Ethernet" from the drop down. Then click on the configure drop down and select "Manually".
- Fields will appear for you to enter your IP address, subnet mask, router address, and DNS Server addresses. BullsEye Telecom will email or fax you the router's IP configuration once the service has been turned up. Enter your IP address, subnet, router address and DNS server addresses into their respective fields (router address is also commonly referred to default gateway address). After you have entered all addresses select apply now to complete the configuration.
