To set up networking in the Windows 2000 environment...
Step 1 - Network Connections
Click
on the Start button, then follow the menu to Settings > Network and Dial-up Connections

Right-click on the Local Connection icon and go to properties.

The Local Area Connection Properties box will now appear.

Step 2 - Configuring TCP/IP
You can configure the TCP/IP properties by clicking on the properties button in the Local Area Connection dialog box.

Choose "Use the following IP address". Make sure you pick an address that is vaild on your network. If you are using the BullsEye's Default settings, you may enter an address between 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254, as long as the address in not already in use by another machine. The subnet mask is always 255.255.255.0. NOTE: If you are connecting more than one machine you may simply change the last number of the IP address for each machine. For example the first machine would be 192.168.1.2, the second would be 192.168.1.3, and so on.
Step 3- DNS Settings
Select Use the following DNS server addresses and enter the following addresses. In the field marked Preferred DNS Server enter 207.148.192.11. In the field marked Alternate DNS Server enter 207.148.192.12. Click Ok.
