Step 1 - Control Panel
Click on the Start button, then follow the menu to Settings > Control Panel
Double-click on the Network icon to bring up a window that will look similar to
the screenshot
Select TCP/IP and click on the Properties button.
Step 2 - IP Address
On the IP Address tab, choose Specify an IP address. Make sure you pick an address
that is vaild on your network. If you are using the BullsEye's Default settings,
you may enter an address between 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254, as long as the
address in not already in use by another machine. The subnet mask is always 255.255.255.0.
NOTE: If you are connecting more than one machine you may simply change the last number
of the IP address for each machine. For example the first machine would be 192.168.1.2,
the second would be 192.168.1.3, and so on.
Step 3 - Gateway Settings
Click on the Gateway tab. In the New Gateway field enter 192.168.1.1 (If you are
using BullsEye's default settings) and click Add. The number should then move
down to the Installed Gateways section. If you are not using BullsEye's default
configuration, you may want to contact your system administrator to confirm
this number.
Step 4 - DNS Settings
Click on the DNS Configuration tab and select "Enable DNS". In the Host field
enter a name for your computer (this can be any name). In the domain section,
enter your company's domain name. If you don't have one you may enter bullseyetelecom.com.
Under the DNS Server Search Order enter 207.148.192.11 and click Add. Next,
enter 207.148.192.12 and click Add. Click Ok.
Step 5- Complete
You will now be back at the Network Properties box. Click Ok to save all
the chages you have made. The system may ask for you Windows CD. Once the
system has finished updating, it will prompt you to restart the computer.
Once you have restarted, the computer should be properly configured to use
the internet service.
